    About Shannyn Ashwood

    With over 12 years experience working with hundreds of business owners and start ups across Gippsland and in Melbourne, I still get great pleasure in seeing business owners and mum/dad investors alike achieve and quite often exceed their personal wealth goals. It is what drives my passion and commitment in doing what I do. Their success is largely due to their hard work and perseverance and I am honoured to be able to collaborate with them every step of the way to plan, strategise, and manage their financial objectives.

     

    I am passionate about Gippsland and Gippsland businesses. Raised in Bairnsdale with both my parents operating their own small businesses I have seen first hand the everyday challenges that they faced. Throughout my career I have come to learn that accounting professionals can create much more value for their clients than just preparing their end of financial year accounts and tax return.  I take a much more proactive approach to tax compliance and business advisory in the services that I offer and consider all areas of the business to achieve the best outcomes for my clients. I don’t speak ‘accountant’, I speak your language and am a big believer that there is no silly question- only the one you don’t ask!

     

    I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Commerce and a Masters in Professional Accounting. I am a registered tax agent and CPA. Aside from my professional qualifications I have built a great knowledge and understanding of regional business in particular, through experience. I have worked with a diverse range of business owners to help them overcome their business challenges to reach their full potential. From farmers, businesses in the construction industry and retailers to those in the hospitality industry and mum/dad investors alike I have been fortunate enough to work with a broad cross section of businesses throughout our region.

     

    Business owners work extremely hard and it is my job to help minimise the many pressures that come with running a business and give them the time back to focus on what is really important to them.
